Originally from Lasalle, Quebec, Steve Leknois earned the Paladins head coaching job in 2002 as a proud 22 year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. Prior to his time at RMC, Leknois was the assitant coach at Queen's University for five years, during which time he was part of two OUA Championship teams.
Leknois' experience includes assistant coaching at the national level, namely with the Canadian Men's National Team, the National B squad, and Canada's University Games Team.
In addition to his role at RMC, Leknois is also currently the head coach of the Canadian Military Men's National Team, which competes against other military national teams from across the world. He is also a development coach facilitator, who is heavily involved in the Ontario Volleyball Association's youth club scene, having been part of the High Performance Coaching program for over 10 years. In 2020, the Leknois earned a Recognition Award from the OVA.
