Doma's Study Tips
For incoming student-athletes, or anyone looking to stay on top of their assignments, Girardin recommends a simple tip that can go a long way.
Get your work done during the week so you can enjoy your weekends.
Achieving such a high academic standard is an impressive feat for any U SPORTS student-athlete, and perhaps even more so for those at RMC, whose college life also includes additional military duties.
"Because RMC forces us to constantly juggle so many different aspects on top of school, it's nice to be able to take a moment to recognize the success and achievements that come from that," Doma said.
A fourth-year psychology student, this marks the second time Doma has earned Academic All-Star status, as she also held an average of 80% or higher in 2017-18.
Once she completes the requirements of her degree, the midfielder will graduate as an Aerospace Control Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Last year, Doma enjoyed a course in line with her degree, taught by professor emeritus Dr. Bob St John.
"My favourite class was brain and behaviour," Doma said. "It focused on things like brain structure and neurochemical pathways, and the way in which they influence behaviour."
Keeping it within the department of military psychology and leadership, when asked about her favourite instructor, Doma named Dr. Allister MacIntyre. In three words, she described him as:
"Professor MacIntyre is… Dedicated. Fair. Engaging."
