In their last road game of the season, the Paladins took on the Ontario Ridgebacks. The team from Oshawa used a big first half to defeat RMC, 5-0.
Goalie Breanna Habinski was busy early, facing multiple shots from the Ridgebacks. Ontario Tech added their first off the foot of Priscilla Voulgaris. The sophomore midfielder ended the first half with a hat trick as the Ridgebacks put up five in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, the Paladins defence played stronger, preventing any further damage from the Ridgebacks and drawing positive reviews from the Ridgebacks commentary team.
Senior goalkeeper Breanna Habinski made 11 saves on the afternoon. Rookie Alex Vinzenz put the lone shot on net for the Paladins in the first half.
Habinski and fellow senior Sarah Nissan will play their final home games this coming weekend (Oct. 22 and 23). The Saturday (Oct. 22) matchup will feature the Laurentian Voyageurs while Ottawa will come into Navy Bay Field for the senior game on Sunday (Oct. 23).

La défensive des Paladins a été plus efficace en deuxième demie, empêchant les Ridgebacks d'ajouter à leur avance et recevant les louanges des descripteurs d'Ontario Tech.
La gardienne finissante Habinski a conclu la rencontre avec 11 arrêts. La recrue Alex Vinzenz a dirigé le seul tir au but des Paladins en première demie.
Habinski et sa coéquipière finissante Sarah Nissan joueront leur dernier match à domicile le weekend prochain, soit le samedi 22 octobre contre les Voyageurs de l'Université Laurentienne, puis le dimanche 23 octobre au Terrain Navy Bay contre les Gee-Gees d'Ottawa à l'occasion du match des finissants.
