The Paladins took on the Lakehead Thunderwolves for the second time this weekend. The Thunderwolves swept the Paladins (25-11, 25-17, 25-19) on Sunday afternoon.
RMC looked to start strong in the first, but it was the Thunderwolves who took the lead and kept it going for the 25-11 set one win.
Lakehead took a 15-9 lead as the Paladins took their first timeout. The Thunderwolves took the second 25-17. Middle Telessa Salmikivi put in three kills in the set.
It was tight throughout the beginning parts of the third before the Thunderwolves took a three-point lead at 10-7. The Paladins attempted to make a comeback, continuing to try to chip away at the Lakehead lead as Emma Titley and Salmikivi would earn back-to-back kills. The score would go in the favour of the Thunderwolves as they left Kingston with a 25-19 set three victory and the match.
RMC was led by rookie Ashley Raymond who had nine kills. Salmikivi delivered eight kills of her own while setter Emilie L'Abbé distributed 21 assists. Titley led the team with 11 digs, providing strong defence in the backcourt.
The Paladins are back in action next Friday as they host the Western Mustangs on Friday (Dec. 2) at 8 pm.

La troisième manche a été plus serrée avant que les Thunderwolves prennent les devants 10 à 7. Les Paladins ont tenté une remontée, continuant à réduire l'avance de Lakehead alors qu'Emma Titley et Salmikivi ont réussi des attaques marquantes consécutives. Les Thunderwolves ont signé une victoire de 25-19, remportant la troisième manche et la rencontre disputée à Kingston.
