The RMC Paladins played the second game of their roadtrip on Saturday (Nov. 5) night. York would get the better of RMC 3-0 (25-11, 25-8, 25-17).
In the first set, the York Lions stormed out to a 10-4 lead. They kept the pressure on, taking the first, 25-11. Rookie
Ashley Raymond had two kills in the set.
Back-to-back kills from
Sophie Hotte and
Emma Titley highlighted the early second set for the Paladins. The York Lions would take the set by a score of 25- 8
Telessa Salmikivi provided a spark off the bench in the third, notching a kill and an ace early on. The Lions took back the momentum, causing an RMC timeout at 12-6. The Paladins chipped away the lead, getting it down to four at 20-16. York finished out the set on a 5-1 run to win it, 25-17.
Moving forward, RMC looks to build off the resilience they showed in the fourth set.
Titley, Raymond and Hotte all had three kills, while Emilie L'Abbé dished out eight assists and had a team-high seven digs.
The Paladins have a week off before travelling across town to take on the Queen's Gaels on November 19 at the ARC. First serve is at 2 p.m.

Emma Titley ont marqué le début de la deuxième manche des Paladins. Les Lions l'ont toutefois emporté par un pointage de 25-8.
Telessa Salmikivi a redonné vie aux siennes comme substitut en troisième manche, réussissant une attaque marquante et un as au service tôt dans l'engagement. Les Lions ont toutefois repris l'initiative, poussant le CMR à prendre un temps d'arrêt alors que York menait 12-6. Les Paladins ont réduit cet écart à quatre points (20-16), mais York a marqué cinq des six points suivants pour gagner 25-17.
Le CMR cherchera à bâtir sur cette résilience affichée en troisième manche.
Titley, Raymond et Hotte ont chacune inscrite trois attaques marquantes, Emilie L'Abbé a amassé huit passes et sept récupérations, un sommet chez les Paladins samedi.
Les Paladins profiteront d'une semaine de congé avant de rendre visite à ses voisines des Gaels de Queen's le 19 novembre à l'ARC à compter de 14 h.
