Playing their first home game since defeating Ottawa 5-4, the RMC Paladins played host to the TMU Bold Friday night at Constantine Arena. In what was a physical affair, with the two teams combing for 66 penalty minutes, it was the visitors coming way with a 6-3 victory over RMC.
There was no shortage of scoring in the first twenty minutes as the Paladins and Bold went back and forth through the first frame. Getting the home crowd on their feet early, it was fourth-year forward
Devin Leduc finding a loose puck at the side of the crease and firing it home to open the scoring. However, TMU would tie the game up less than 30 seconds later on a goal from Aaron Hyman. Battling back, the Paladins would regain the lead with just under eight minutes to play in the period as
Ethan Kearney put home his first goal as a member of RMC. It would be the Bold taking the lead after one though, after scoring two more times before the period expired.
During the second frame, the Paladins were able to put the clamps on defensively. Not only did they hold the Bold off the scoreboard in the period, but they also found the equalizer. From a sharp angle,
Ryan Smith tallied his first goal of the 2023-24 campaign.
Tied 3-3 entering the third, the Paladins pushed for the go-ahead goal. Despite creating multiple chances, they were unable to find their four marker of the contest. In the end, TMU would take the lead with a power-play goal just shy of the midway point of the period. The Bold would go on to find the back of the net twice in the dying minutes to round out the scoring.

The Paladins will swing right back into the action tomorrow (October 28) afternoon, when they host UQTR at 14:00.

En deuxième période, les Paladins ont resserré le jeu en défensive en n'accordant aucun but et sont parvenus à créer l'égalité quand
Ryan Smith a marqué son premier but de la saison 2023-2024 d'un angle serré à 5:10.
À égalité 3-3 en troisième, les Paladins ont poussé pour prendre les devants. Malgré plusieurs occasions créées, ils n'ont pas su marquer un quatrième but dans le match. TMU a donc pris les devants en avantage numérique à 7:23, puis a ajouté deux autres buts en fin de rencontre pour compléter la marque.
