The RMC Paladins women's soccer team completed their weekend home stand with a match against the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday (Sept. 17) afternoon. The team from North Bay came away with the 4-0 win.
Nipissing got on the board early, scoring in fourth minute off the foot of Courtney Poelman. Jennifer Milligan and Cassidy Brooks added goals in the 12th and 20th minutes, respectively. At the half, the Lakers had a three goal lead.
The Lakers scored a goal in the second half to take the contest 4-0.
Isabella Frate made her first start in net for the Paladins on Sunday afternoon and made a career-high nine saves.
Mea Paoletti provided strong coverage on defence, while Courtney Drew was a key driver in pushing the ball down the field for the Red and White.
The Paladins are back at home next Sunday (Sept. 25) at 1 p.m. against the visiting TMU Bold.

Les visiteuses se sont inscrites au pointage tôt dans la rencontre, marquant dès la quatrième minute sur le tir de Courtney Poelman. Jennifer Milligan et Cassidy Brooks ont ajouté des buts à la 12e et à la 20e minute, respectivement. À la mi-temps, les Lakers menaient par trois buts.
