Looking to bounce back from a tough defeat in Toronto the previous afternoon, the RMC Paladins returned to action on Sunday to take on the Trent Excalibur.
Playing in a second consecutive road game, the Paladins were unable to quiet the crowd early on.
The match had just entered the fourth minute when the home team got the crowd going with a goal.
The score would hold at 1-0 for much of the first half, however, with just a few minutes remaining before the break, the Excalibur were able to double their lead.
Trent would then extend the lead to 3-0 early in the second half, before tallying a fourth goal just over two minutes later.

The Paladins will now turn their attention to the Laurentian Voyageurs, who they will host in September 7 home opener.

À l'occasion de ce deuxième match d'affilée à l'étranger, les Paladins n'ont pas réussi à réduire la foule au silence en début d'affrontement.
Le match n'en était qu'au début de la quatrième minute de jeu quand l'équipe locale a galvanisé ses partisans en marquant un but.
Le pointage allait rester à 1-0 pendant la majeure partie de la première mi-temps, mais l'Excalibur a réussi à doubler son avance quelques minutes avant la pause.
Trent s'est doté d'une priorité de 3-0 tôt en deuxième mi-temps, ajoutant ensuite un quatrième filet un peu plus de deux minutes plus tard.
Étudiant de troisième année en arts, Chris Knock a été l'auteur des deux tirs au but du CMR pendant la rencontre. Le gardien de but de deuxième année Finn Gregoire a réalisé trois arrêts.
Les Paladins se prépareront maintenant en vue de leur match contre les Voyageurs de l'Université Laurentienne, qu'ils recevront dans le cadre du match d'ouverture locale du 7 septembre.
