It was a strong start Saturday afternoon for the RMC Paladins in Sudbury, however, it was not enough for RMC as they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Laurentian Voyageurs.
In what was their second meeting of the season with the Voyageurs, the Paladins were able to take advantage of that familiarity for an early goal.
Playing in just the 10
th minute of the match,
Chris Knock scored the Paladins first goal of the season to give RMC a 1-0 lead.
Continuing to pressure, the Paladins attempted to add to their lead. Unfortunately, for RMC, it would be Laurentian who would find the back of the net next.
Scoring in the 21
st minute, the Voyageurs would tie the game before really swinging momentum in their favour with goals in the 27
th and 37
th minutes.
Although, RMC continued to generate shots, they were having a tough time cutting into the Laurentian advantage.
However, in the late stages, the Paladins would draw a penalty kick in the 89
th minute. Stepping up to the spot,
Jun Lee would make no mistake for his first goal of the season.
In the end though, it would not quite be enough for RMC, as Laurentian would restore their two goal lead with a penalty kick of their own just minutes later.
Next up for the Paladins will be a trip to North Bay on Sept. 29 to take on the Nipissing Lakers.

Bien que le CMR ait continué de tirer au but, l'écart semblait insurmontable.
En fin de rencontre, les Paladins ont obtenu un penalty à la 89e minute.
Jun Lee a fait mouche de son tir pour son premier but de la campagne.
Une minute plus tard, Laurentienne a rétabli son avantage de deux buts avec un penalty qui lui a été accordé.
Les Paladins prennent maintenant la direction de North Bay pour y affronter les Lakers de Nipissing, dimanche.
