Returning to the pitch after a hard-fought 2-1 loss in Sudbury on Saturday, the RMC Paladins paid a visit to the Nipissing Lakers in North Bay Sunday afternoon. Although they tried, RMC was unable to keep up with Nipissing fast start, as the Lakers went on to secure the 6-0 win.

Giving the home crowd something to cheer about early on, Nipissing was able to jump out in front in the second minute of the match.

The Paladins would go on to generate some pressure as they searched for the equalizer, but were unable to get back on to even terms before Nipissing's offence really got rolling. In a 12-minute stretch, beginning in the 24^th minute, the Lakers would add three more goals, extending their lead to 4-0 heading into the break.

Still trying to push back to start the second half, the Paladins continued to battle. Although their efforts would pay off defensively, not surrendering any further damage until the 83^rd minute, they were unable to find the back of the Nipissing net.

Angelica Labelle, Jillian Clarke, Bellarosa Ternes and Courtney Drew all generated a shot on goal for RMC.

The Paladins will now return home to host the TMU Bold on October 6 for RMC's senior game.

De retour sur le terrain après une défaite crève-cœur de 2-1 à Sudbury samedi, les Paladins du CMR ont rendu visite aux Lakers de Nipissing à North Bay dimanche après-midi. Malgré les efforts, le CMR n'a pas été en mesure de résister au gros début de match des hôtes et se sont inclinés 6-0.

Offrant de quoi à leurs partisans pour se réjouir tôt dans le match, Nipissing s'est donné les devants dès la deuxième minute de jeu.

Les Paladins ont généré de la pression en quête d'égalisation, mais ils ne sont pas parvenus à créer l'égalité  avant que l'attaque de Nipissing passe à la vitesse supérieure. Au cours d'une séquence de 12 minutes à compter de la 24e minute, les Lakers ont ajouté trois autres buts, portant la marque à 4-0 à la pause.

Tentant toujours de se relancer en deuxième demie, les Paladins ont continué de lutter. Bien que leurs efforts aient rapporté défensivement, n'accordant aucun autre but avant la 83e minute, ils n'ont pas été en mesure de trouver le fond du filet de Nipissing.

Angelica Labelle, Jillian Clarke, Bellarosa Ternes et Courtney Drew ont chacune dirigé un tir au filet adverse pour le CMR.

Les Paladins seront maintenant de retour à la maison pour accueillir le Bold de TMU le 6 octobre pour le match des finissantes du CMR.
