Coming off Sunday's thrilling comeback victory in Ottawa over the defending national champion, Gee-Gees, the RMC Paladins were back in Kingston on November 21 to take on the No. 4 UQTR Patriotes. Although the game was tightly contested throughout, in the end, it was the Patriotes coming away with a hard-fought 3-0 victory over RMC.
Playing a top-10 team for the third consecutive game, the Paladins came out ready to compete. However, just under eight minutes into the contest, RMC would get called for the first penalty of the game. On the ensuing powerplay, the Patriotes would strike quickly to go up 1-0. The UQTR goal would wind up be the only marker of the period.
Looking to get back on even terms in the middle frame, the Paladins were able to tilt the ice towards the Patriotes end for large stretches of the period. Forcing UQTR into three penalties, the Paladins generated all kinds of shots and chances, but were unable to find the equalizer. Despite the team putting 16 shots on goal in the frame, the score would remain 1-0 in favour of the Patriotes after 40 minutes of play.
Approaching the midway point of the third period, and the score still 1-0 UQTR, the visitors would finally breakthrough for the second goal of the night. Possessing the puck on a delayed RMC penalty, the Patriotes would wind up finding the back of the net, doubling their advantage to two. Then just under six minutes later, the Patriotes would further heighten the Paladins hill to climb with a short-handed goal. RMC would continue to push until the final buzzer, however, they did not have anything to show for their efforts.

Needing to quickly switch their focus, the Paladins will be on the bus to North Bay in the morning as they will pay a visit to the Nipissing Lakers tomorrow (Nov. 22) night. Puck drop is set for 1930.

Bien que le match ait été serré d'un bout à l'autre, les Patriotes ont eu le dernier mot en signant un gain de 3-0 sur le CMR.
Affrontant une des 10 meilleures équipes au classement national pour un troisième match de suite, les Paladins ont démarré le match avec beaucoup d'aplomb. Cependant, les Paladins ont écopé de la première punition de la rencontre après un peu plus de sept minutes de jeu. Sur le jeu de puissance qui a suivi, les Patriotes ont ouvert la marque rapidement pour prendre les devants 1-0. Ce but de l'UQTR a été le seul de la première période.
Cherchant à revenir au pointage en deuxième, les Paladins ont été en mesure de s'installer en territoire adverse pendant de longues séquences de jeu. Forçant l'UQTR à commettre des infractions trois fois, les Paladins ont dirigé de nombreux tirs sur la cage adverse et se sont créé plusieurs occasions, mais n'ont pas été en mesure d'égaliser la marque. Malgré leurs 16 tirs au but dans la période, les hôtes tiraient toujours de l'arrière 1-0 après 40 minutes de jeu.
Vers la mi-chemin en troisième période, avec un pointage qui se maintenait à 1-0 en faveur de l'UQTR. Les visiteurs ont finalement inscrit le deuxième but de la soirée. Possédant la rondelle sur une punition à retardement du CMR' les Patriotes ont trouvé le fond du filet pour doubler leur avance. Puis, moins de six minutes plus tard, les Patriotes ont ajouté au défi des Paladins en marquant en désavantage numérique. Le CMR a continué de lutter jusqu'à la dernière seconde, mais n'a pas su tromper la vigilance du gardien adverse, pas même une seule fois.

Pour tourner leur attention sur autre chose, les Paladins sauteront à bord de l'autobus samedi matin pour prendre la direction de North Bay en vue d'un duel avec les Lakers de Nipissing en soirée. La rondelle sera mise au jeu à 19 h 30.
