Making the trip to Ottawa for a Thursday night contest, the RMC Paladins found themselves in tough against the No. 4 nationally ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees. Taking on Ottawa for the second time this season, the Paladins were unable to get much going in a 7-0 defeat.
Approaching the midway point of the opening period, neither team had yet to open the scoring. That changed quickly, however, as Ottawa's attack got to work. With just over 10 minutes to play in the first, the Gee-Gees would score the games first goal. Then, just 13 seconds later, the Gee-Gees struck again to go up 2-0. Less than three minutes later, Ottawa would find the back of the net again taking a 3-0 lead into the intermission.
Not quite two minutes into the second period, Ottawa would score the lone goal of the middle period.
Although the Paladins battled to make up some ground in the third, it was Ottawa striking for three more goals in the frame.
In goal for RMC, second-year netminder,
Ethan Morrow recorded 29 saves.
The Paladins will now have the rest of the weekend off as they prepare to host McGill on November 6.
Ethan Morrow a réalisé 29 arrêts.
