RMC played their first game of a weekend road trip against the Toronto Metropolitan University Bold (2-2) on Saturday (Oct. 1). The Bold had a late-game surge to defeat the Paladins 2-0.
It was a quiet first half from both squads as neither team was able to find the back of the net. TMU put a couple shots on goal but the Paladins defence took away any major scoring opportunities from the Bold.
The Paladins held tough against TMU in the second half with Mea Paoletti being a strong force in the left back spot.
In the 76th minute, it looked like the Bold had taken the lead but the side official ruled the play offside. The Bold continued to pressure the Paladins and broke through in the 88th and 90th minute to take the game, 2-0.
Senior goalie Breanna Habinski had eight saves in the game. The 2021-22 OUA East all-star has 67 saves on the year so far.
The Paladins finish their road trip tomorrow (Oct. 2) as they head to North Bay, Ont., to take on the Nipissing Lakers at 12 p.m.

Breanna Habinski a réalisé huit arrêts dans le match. La membre de l'équipe d'étoiles de la division Est des SUO en 2021-2022 a déjà accumulé 67 arrêts cette saison.
Les Paladins concluent leur déplacement dimanche à North Bay pour y affronter les Lakers de Nipissing à 12 h.
