Playing their second game in as many nights, the RMC Paladins travelled to St. Catharines, Ont., to round out a southwest weekend swing. Going up against the Brock Badgers, the Paladins were able to find the back of the net twice, but in the end, dropped a 9-2 decision.
During the first period of the contest, it was the home side who were able to take control early. Finding the back of the net three time in the opening frame, the Badgers jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
After Brock increased to advantage to 5-0 early in the second, RMC got themselves on the board thanks to a goal from
Mitch Larabie. For the fourth-year forward, the goal was his second of the season. The Badgers did go on to respond just 23-seconds later. The Paladins continued to battle though and were rewarded with their second goal of the contest shortly after the midway point of the period. On the power-play, it was
Nathan Fox putting home his first goal as a Paladin to pull RMC within 6-2.
From that point on though, the Badgers would continue to apply pressure, adding three more goals en route to a 9-2 victory.
The Paladins will now return home next weekend when they host the TMU Bold on October 27 at 19:00, before battling UQTR on October 28 at 14:00.
À leur deuxième sortie en autant de soirs, les Paladins du CMR étaient en action du côté de St. Catharines, en Ontario samedi pour conclure leur passage dans le sud-ouest de la province. Les Paladins ont inscrit deux buts face aux Badgers de Brock dans une défaite de 9 à 2.
Dès le début de la première période, les hôtes ont pris les choses en main en marquant trois fois avant le premier entracte, menant 3 à 0.

Mitch Larabie a inscrit le CMR à la marque, avec son deuxième but de la saison. Les Badgers ont répliqué 23 secondes plus tard pour faire 6 à 1. Les Paladins n'ont pas lâché prise et ont été récompensés peu de temps après avoir franchi le point de mi-parcours dans la rencontre.
Nathan Fox a marqué son premier but avec les Paladins sur le jeu de puissance, portant la marque à 6-2.
Les Badgers ne se sont toutefois pas arrêtés là, appliquant de la pression et ajoutant trois autres buts en route vers un gain de 9-2.
Les Paladins retourneront à la maison le weekend prochain à l'occasion de la visite du Bold de TMU, le 27 octobre à 19 h avant d'affronter l'UQTR, le 28 octobre à 14 h.
