After hosting the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Thursday night, the RMC Paladins hit the road for a Saturday afternoon contest in Windsor against the Lancers. Looking to bounce back into the win column, RMC put forth a valiant comeback effort, but came up just short in a 4-2 loss.
The Paladins found themselves in trouble early against Windsor surrendering the first three goals of the contest.
With their backs against the wall, RMC got to work. Doing their best to dig out of the hole, the Paladins got on the board late in the opening period when first-year forward
Fischer O'Brien scored his third goal of the season.
Despite some penalty trouble midway through the second period, the Paladins continued to fight back. While killing off a penalty,
Noah Matulu, another first-year forward, pulled RMC back within one scoring a short-handed marker for his first career OUA goal.
Getting the Windsor lead trimmed down to just one goal entering the final period of play, the Paladins would keep pushing for the equalizer. Although they generated chances, RMC was unable to get back on even ground and in the end would surrender and empty-net goal.

Dell Welton each recorded an assist for RMC in the loss.
The Paladins will now return home and prepare to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks on October 18 at Constantine Arena. Puck drop is set for 1900hrs.
Après avoir accueilli les Thunderwolves de Lakehead jeudi soir, les Paladins du CMR ont pris la route pour un match du samedi après-midi à Windsor face aux Lancers. Cherchant à retrouver le sentier de la victoire, le CMR a réalisé une belle remontée, mais a dû s'avouer vaincu par la marque de 4 à 2.
Les Paladins se sont creusé un trou tôt dans le match contre Windsor en accordant les trois premiers buts du match.
Le dos au mur, les joueurs du CMR se sont mis au travail. Déployant les meilleurs efforts pour revenir dans ce match, les Paladins se sont inscrits à la marque en fin de première période sur le troisième but de la saison de l'attaquant de première année
Fischer O'Brien.
Malgré les punitions écopées en milieu de deuxième période, les Paladins ont poursuivi leurs efforts. En situation de désavantage numérique,
Noah Matulu, un autre attaquant de première année a réduit l'écart à un seul but en marquant son premier but en carrière dans les SUO.
Avec un seul but qui séparait les deux équipes avec 20 minutes à jouer, les Paladins ont poussé pour l'égalisation. Générant des occasions de marquer, le CMR a toutefois été incapable de marquer ce troisième but et a accordé un but dans un filet désert en fin de rencontre.

Dell Welton ont chacun récolté une mention d'aide pour le CMR dans la défaite.
Les Paladins seront maintenant de retour à la maison pour accueillir les Golden Hawks de Laurier, le vendredi 18 octobre à l'Aréna Constantine à compter de 19 h.
