Hitting the road following last night's game against Laurier, the RMC Paladins travelled to Oshawa on October 19 to take on the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks. Looking to snap an early season skid, the Paladins were unable to get back in the win column, dropping a 6-1 decision.
Getting off to a decent start as the game got underway, RMC was able to settle in to the contest. The Ridgebacks would open the scoring midway through the frame though to take a 1-0 lead. The Paladins would keep Ontario Tech within one for the remainder of the period.
A tough one-minute and 41-second stretch early in the middle frame though would prove costly for RMC. Taking advantage of some power-play opportunities, the Ridgebacks scored four times in that span to build up a 5-0 lead.
With Ontario Tech further extending their advantage to 6-0 in the third, the Paladins were able to get one back later in the frame, as they continued to push. Driving to the corner, first-year forward

Michael Davis made 24 saves for RMC. Defenceman Mathieu Hébert also picked up an assist on the Paladins goal.
The Paladins will now have a few days off before paying a visit to McGill on October 25.
Déjà sur la route au lendemain d'un match à domicile contre Laurier, les Paladins du CM étaient à Oshawa le samedi 19 octobre pour affronter les Ridgebacks d'Ontario Tech. Cherchant à relancer un début de saison chancelant, les Paladins n'ont pas été en mesure de retrouver le chemin de la victoire, s'inclinant 6 à 1.
Après un début de match correct, le CMR a été en mesure de s'installer dans la rencontre. Les Ridgebacks ont ouvert le pointage à mi-chemin en première période, mais les visiteurs ont su préserver cet écart d'un but jusqu'au premier entracte.
Une séquence de 1:41 minute en début de deuxième période a été coûteuse pour le CMR. Profitant de situations d'avantage numérique, les Ridgebacks ont inscrit quatre buts pendant ce temps, en route vers un gain de 5-0.
Ontario Tech a ajouté à son avance, portant à la marque à 6-0 en troisième période avant que les Paladins évitent le jeu blanc plus tard en troisième grâce à leurs efforts incessants. Fonçant sur la rondelle dans le coin de la patinoire, l'attaquant de première année Bradley Black a passé la rondelle devant à l'attaquant de deuxième année
Ethan Kearney, qui a fait mouche pour inscrire son premier but de la saison.
