Coming off a grueling five-set match less than 24-hours ago, the RMC Paladins and TMU Bold were back at it Saturday afternoon in Kingston. Playing the latter half of their two games in two days, the Paladins were unable to solve TMU as they fell 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 14-25) to the Bold.
After every set yesterday was so closely played from start to finish, the same could not be said on Saturday. Right out of the gate, TMU was able to establish control against RMC, jumping out to an 8-3 lead. Keeping the Paladins at bay, the Bold continued to control the set, eventually going up 21-14, before finishing off the set 25-19.
In the middle set, the Paladins again found themselves in a similar position. Following a couple of small TMU runs, RMC called for time trailing 11-7. Although the Paladins did not allow TMU to pull away, RMC was unable to cut much into the Bold lead, as they once again fell 25-19.
With their backs against the wall to start the third, the Paladins did everything they could to try and slow the TMU momentum, however, despite their attempts, they were not successful in doing so. After TMU quickly went up 11-5, they never looked back, cruising to a 25-14 win.

Carter Liu and
Tommy Roussel tied for the team lead in kills with four.
Andrew Gallant had a team high 12 assists, while
Maciej Tereszko led the team in digs with four.
Up next for RMC is a trip to Waterloo to take on the Warriors on November 8.

Disputant le deuxième de leurs deux duels du weekend, les Paladins n'ont pas été en mesure de résoudre leurs adversaires torontois, s'inclinant en trois manches (19-25, 19-25 et 14-25) aux mains du Bold.
Après chaque manche serrée d'un bout à l'autre vendredi, la situation a été fort différente samedi. Dès le début de la manche initiale, TMU a pris le contrôle de la rencontre, se donnant les devants 8 à 3. Gardant les Paladins à l'écart, le Bold a marqué 13 des 21 points suivants pour porter la marque à 21-14 en route vers un gain de 25-19.
En deuxième manche, les Paladins se sont retrouvés dans une situation semblable. Après quelques séquences de points de TMU, le CMR a pris un temps d'arrêt, tirant de l'arrière 11-7. Bien que les Paladins n'aient pas laissé le Bold s'échapper cette fois, le CMR n'a pas plus su réduire l'écart, s'inclinant 25-19.
Le dos au mur au début de la troisième manche, les Paladins ont fait tout ce qu'ils ont pu pour ralentir le rythme de TMU, mais leurs efforts ont été vains. TMU a rapidement pris les devants 11-5 et n'ont pas regardé derrière pour l'emporter 25-14.

Andrew Gallant a dominé les siens avec 12 passes et
Maciej Tereszko a récolté quatre récupérations.
Le prochain match du CMR sera vendredi prochain, le 8 novembre alors qu'il rendra visite aux Warriors à Waterloo.
