Rounding out their two-game week with a trip to London, the RMC Paladins paid a visit to the Western Mustangs Saturday afternoon. Despite a strong third period push, the Paladins were unable to overcome a three-goal deficit, dropping a 6-3 decision to Western.

It did not take long for the first goal of the contest. Under three minutes in, the Mustangs were able to open the scoring and take an early lead. Able to respond, the Paladins would tie the game 1-1 just past the midway point of the period when first-year forward Fischer O'Brien scored his fifth goal of the season. As the intermission approached, the Mustangs would retake the lead late to head into the break up by one.

Unfortunately, for RMC, the second period is where Western did most of their damage. Scoring a pair of goals in the period, the Mustangs were able to carry a 4-1 lead into the third.

Seemingly unfazed by the deficit, the Paladins worked their way back into the game. Scoring two goals just three minutes apart, one from Nathan Fox, his third of the year, and the other from Cole Foston, his first career Paladins goal, RMC quickly closed the gap to one. Pushing for the equalizer, the Paladins continued to fire shots on goal, outshooting Western 12-10 in the period. However, a power-play marker in the final six minutes and a late empty-net goal for Western would ultimately seal a 6-3 victory for the Mustangs.

In goal for RMC, Michael Davis made 22 saves. Devin Pimm, Isaac Pascoal, Devin Leduc, Bradley Blake and William Gallant each recorded an assist for the Paladins.

The Paladins will continue their season November 27 when they head to Ottawa to take on the Gee-Gees.

Complétant un séjour de deux matchs à London, les Paladins du CMR rendaient visite aux Mustangs de Western samedi après-midi. Malgré une belle remontée en troisième période, les Paladins n'ont pas su combler un retard de trois buts, s'inclinant 6-3 aux mains de Western.
 
Il n'a pas fallu longtemps pour que les Mustangs ouvrent la marque. Après moins de trois minutes de jeu, les Mustangs ont pris les devants 1-0. Les Paladins ont répliqué en deuxième moitié de première période quand l'attaquant de première année Fischer O'Brien a marqué son cinquième but de la saison. À l'approche de l'entracte, les Mustangs ont repris les devants pour renvoyer les équipes au vestiaire avec un écart d'un but en faveur des locaux.
 
Malheureusement pour le CMR, la deuxième période a été fatale alors que Western s'est démarqué en inscrivant deux buts pour porter la marque à 4-1 avec 20 minutes à jouer.
 
Sans se laisser intimider par ce retard, les Paladins ont remonté la pente. Marquant deux buts en trois minutes, notamment Nathan Fox qui a inscrit son troisième de l'année et puis Cole Foston qui a marqué son premier but en carrière avec les Paladins. L'écart a ainsi été réduit à un but. Poussant pour créer l'égalité, les Paladins ont dominé Western 12-10 au chapitre des tirs dans la période. Cependant, un but en avantage numérique dans les six dernières minutes de jeu et un but dans un filet désert en toute fin de rencontre pour Western a mis le match hors de portée, l'emportant 6-3.
 
Michael Davis a réalisé 22 arrêts devant le but du CMR. Devin Pimm, Isaac Pascoal, Devin Leduc, Bradley Blake et William Gallant ont chacun amassé une pass pour les Paladins.
 
Le groupe poursuivra sa saison le 27 novembre en rendant visite aux Gee-Gees à Ottawa.
