Beginning their final weekend of play in 2024, the RMC Paladins made the trip south-west to London to take on the No. 10 ranked Western Mustangs. Despite their efforts, the Paladins were unable to keep up with the nationally ranked team falling 3-0 (13-25, 10-25, 8-25).
From the beginning, RMC had a hard time keeping pace with the Mustangs. Western quickly established a 7-1 lead in the opening set, before extending their lead 20-9 later in the set. In the end, the Mustangs would take the opening set 25-13.
Initially, RMC was able to keep the second set much closer with the score tied 5-5 early on. However, from that point, Western would go on a nine-point run to break it open before winning the set 25-10.
Although the Paladins tried to push and create momentum they were unable to come up with any answers for the Western attack in the third. Winning 16 of the first 18 points, the Mustangs took full control with a 16-2 advantage. Western would later finish off the match by winning the set 25-8.

Elisa Markentin led RMC in kills with five. Setter
Jayda Phillipson was once again the team-leader in assists with eight. Meanwhile, Phillipson also led the team in digs with six.
The Paladins will wrap up the 2024 portion of their scheduled when they battle Western for the second time in as many days. First serve is set for 1400hrs on November 30.

Malgré les espoirs déployés les visiteurs se sont inclinés en trois manches (13-25, 10-25 et 8-25).
Dès les premiers échanges de la rencontre, le CMR a eu de la difficulté à maintenir le rythme avec les Mustangs. Western menait 7-1 d'entrée de jeu avant de prolonger son avance à 20-9 en route vers un gain de 25-13.
Les Paladins ont fait un peu mieux en début de deuxième, maintenant une égalité de 5-5 après 10 échanges. Les Mustangs ont toutefois pris les choses en main à partir de ce moment, alignant une séquence de neuf points consécutifs pour l'emporter 25-10.
Même si les Paladins ont poussé la machine en troisième manche pour tenter de créer un rythme, l'attaque des Mustangs avait plus souvent qu'autrement le dernier mot, remportant 16 des 18 premiers échanges en route vers une victoire de 25-8 pour rapidement fermer les livres sur cette rencontre.

Elisa Markentin a mené le CMR avec cinq attaques marquantes. La passeuse
Jayda Phillipson a accumulé huit passes et a été la meilleure des siennes avec six récupérations.
Les Paladins disputeront leur dernier match de 2024, le samedi 30 novembre pour un deuxième duel en deux jours contre Western, à compter de 14 h.
