With just three games to go on their schedule, the RMC Paladins made their way west on Saturday to take on the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks. In what was the first of two meetings between the two teams over the next eight days, the Paladins lost 7-0.

Following a scoreless first 20 minutes of play, Ontario Tech would strike for the game's first goal in the 21^st. From there, the Ridgebacks attack found its groove scoring three more goals over the next 19 minutes.

Down 4-0 at the half, the Paladins tried to work their way back into the match but were unable to get much going. Instead, Ontario Tech added three more second half goals to round out the scoring.

Third-year goalkeeper, Finn Gregoire, made six save for the Paladins in the contest.

RMC will quickly return to action as they make the trip to Peterborough tomorrow (5 October) to take on the Trent Excalibur.

Dans le premier de deux matchs en huit jours entre les deux équipes, les Paladins se sont inclinés 7 à 0.

Après les 20 premières minutes sans but, Ontario Tech a ouvert la marque à la 21e minute. À partir de ce moment, l'attaque des Ridgebacks a trouvé son rythme en marquant trois autres buts sur les 19 minutes de jeu suivantes.

En retard 4-0 à la mi-temps, les Paladins ont tenté de revenir dans le match en deuxième demie, mais sans trop de succès. Ontario Tech a même ajouté trois buts avant la fin de la rencontre pour compléter la marque.

Le gardien de troisième année Finn Gregoire a réalisé six arrêts dans ce match.

Le CMR reviendra rapidement au jeu puisque l'équipe rendra visite à l'Excalibur de Trent demain, le dimanche 5 octobre à Peterborough.
